All degree-seeking students, and non degree-seeking students taking a Math, English or other applicable course, must take the CSI placement tests before registering at the College of Southern Idaho. The placement tests cover writing and mathematics. No fee is charged to prospective CSI students taking the placement tests for the first time. These tests are NOT used to determine admission to CSI. Rather, the results are used during the educational planning process to assist students in selecting appropriate level courses in which they will be successful. CSI uses the ALEKs Placement, Preparation, and Learning program for Mathematics and WriteClass for English.
SAT testing is available through CSI for the dates listed below. Online registration through College Board (collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sat) is required. The code for the CSI Testing Site is 13175.
