Supporting the professional development of our faculty and staff to improve access to nationally recognized best practice conference events with an expectation that successful applicants plan a campus discussion, implementation, or dissemination activity.
On a competitive basis, these grants provide opportunities for CSI faculty and staff to attend national conferences (i.e. NISOD, AACC, or ACTE) that can translate to institutional improvement and effectiveness. Successful grantees are expected to conduct follow-up professional development for the institution based on information gleaned from the national conference. Professional Development Grants are funded by the CSI Foundation. Funds are not restricted to instructional departments alone, as all divisions of the institution are encouraged to seize these opportunities for institutional innovation.
