Introduction to Poetry                                        spring

This course concentrates on reading and analysis of contemporary and traditional poems.  Students will be introduced to the elements - rhythm, rhyme, imagery, metaphor - of poetry.  Students who are interested in form will benefit from this course, as well as those who like their verse “free”.   Prerequisites:  ENGL 101 or ENGL 102 or permission of the instructor.
