Course Description

Our Mission:

We focus on recognizing and encouraging the academic achievement of two-year college students while providing opportunities for individual growth and development through participation in honors, leaderships, service, and fellowship programing.

The four pillars of Phi Theta Kappa are:

·         Honors in Action (HIA) Scholarship-research projects and opportunities

·         CSI College Leadership-Opportunities for personal and professional growth

·         Fellowship-A community of high-achieving students

·         Service Projects-community service opportunities

 

Students receive PTK Honors Certification

For nearly 100 years, Phi Theta Kappa has recognized the academic achievements of two-year college students. In addition, the honor society provides opportunities for members to grow by engaging in honors, leadership, service, and fellowship programming.

The benefits of membership include both those that you can see and touch as well as those that come from the Phi Theta Kappa Experience.

Recognition includes: Graduation Ceremony medal, stole and ropes, certifications, Transcript/diploma seal, and 91% transfer to a university. Phi Theta Kappa recognizes your accomplishments as a high-achieving scholar.

Admittance requirement include

·         12 college credit with a GPA of 3.5

·         One-time membership fee transfers to a Life-time Alumni status

·         Induction Ceremony

Additionally, students:

·         Travel or attend virtual Regional (Rocky Mountian-Cascade), and International conferences

·         Participate in scholarly research studies with your peers & publish

·         Create a collaborative College Leadership Project

·         Research and implement an Honors in Action Service Project
