Summary of the Main Points
A Step-By-Step Approach

Summarizing your main points is the first step to an effective conclusion. This is your final chance to get the audience to remember the main points of your speech. Remember, if they only retain one out of every three items they hear, they better hear those main points again! So, review for the audience the main points of what you have discussed. Provide a summary of the information that you have already presented. Absolutely DO NOT present anything new here......only review.

Test yourself: How/Where does the speaker indicate his/her summary on the practice outline?
