Background/Personal Information

Jaysa Fillmore grew up in Twin Falls, Idaho and graduated from Kimberly High School in 2006. She was active in 4-H and FFA throughout her childhood. She attended University of Idaho and graduated with a B.S. in Agricultural Education in 2009. Jaysa taught high school agricultural education at Grangeville High School (2009-2012), Burley High School (2012-2014), and Cassia High School (2014-2019). Jaysa is an active member of the Idaho Agriculture Teachers Association (IATA) and the National Association of Agricultural Educators (NAAE). She is CASE (Curriculum for Agriscience Education) Certified in three courses- Animal Science Plant (ASP), Animal Science Agriculture (ASA), and Introduction to Ag, Food, & Natural Resources (AFNR). Jaysa is a National Agriscience Teacher Ambassador and is a member of the NAAE professional development facilitator team. 

Jaysa was nominated by students and selected as the 2020-2021 CTE Outstanding Faculty of the Year at CSI and was also nominated by her peers and selected as the 2020-2021 Career and Technical Educators of Idaho Post-secondary Teacher of the Year. 

Jaysa currently serves as the Service Development Coordinator for the Idaho FFA Association and enjoys shooting archery and camping with her two daughters and husband.
