In 1987 I started my health professional career as an EMT in Jackpot, NV. I enjoyed it tremendously and in 1990 decided to enroll at CSI and pursue a career in nursing. I graduated in 1993, and worked two years at St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center on the medical floor. I enjoyed working with those with mental health issues and in 1995 went to work for the Dept. of Health and Welfare in their Adult Mental Health office where I spent 8 years. There I managed medications and did planning and case management. Before coming to CSI, I spent my previous three years working in an acute care geriatric psych hospital. My expertise is in co-occuring disorders where mental health issues and substance abuse issues meet. My love of nursing and teaching excites me each day and I hope to instill that in those I teach.
I have lived in Idaho most of my life, having spent my early childhood in Brazil. I love the outdoors, Native American culture, positive people, and tropical beaches.
