I'm a native of Clearfield, Utah, and over the years growing up, I wanted to be a garbage truck driver, a Supreme Court justice (but never wanted to be a lawyer), a florist, a music teacher, and an engineer. My mom, her sister, her sister-in-law, and her mother were all educators, and I grew up thinking that I never wanted that. I got the bug for teaching, though, when I was in graduate school, and found that it just kept gnawing at me. I've been here at CSI since January 2006, and appreciate the chances that I have every day to make a difference.
I live with my husband, zero to three kids depending on custody schedules, a 14 year old border collie mix, a three year old leopard gecko, and two almost two year old tabby cat sisters. My hobbies include playing tenor saxophone with the CSI jazz combos, making soap from scratch, and reading fiction. I'm trying to learn Tai Chi, too.
